We are going to make a play on Oakland/Minnesota going over the total today for a number of reasons.

Super rookie Francisco Liriano makes his return to the mound today against the Oakland A's, but he hasn't pitched since August 7th and we expect a little bit of rust. In his only start vs the A's, he was rocked for six earned runs in just 5-2/3 innings.

Oakland starter Dan Haren has not been in the best of form lately, giving up 20 ER's in 23-2/3 innings during his last four starts. Both teams have been pounding the ball as of late, with the Twins going over the total in five of their last six and the A's going over the total in 6-straight.

Both bullpens should see significant action and we like the total to go over the posted total of 8.
