Arkansas Razorbacks +3½ to go Hog wild at LSU Tigers
Game Time: Saturday, November 28, 2009 07:00 PM ET
LSU is ranked and Arkansas is not, but that may change after tonight. Arkansas may have the hottest QB in the SEC in Ryan Mallett, and the Tigers lack the firepower to keep pace.
Even though the LSU Tigers are ranked and the Arkansas Razorbacks are not, we simply feel that Arkansas is the much hotter team right now and we are calling for the upset at Baton Rouge Saturday night.

The Razorbacks have won four straight games, and they have outscored those four opponents by an average score of 48.5-21.0! While there is talk about Florida quarterback Tim Tebow winning his second straight Heisman Trophy, the fact is that Tebow may not even be the best quarterback in his own conference right now.
That distinction may belong to Arkansas signal-caller Ryan Mallett, who has tossed 28 touchdown passes vs. just six interceptions while throwing for nearly 3200 yards and averaging a whopping 9.74 yards per pass attempt. He could take advantage of an LSU defense that has been exposed a bit the last three games, allowing 400.0 total yards per game including 217.7 yards in the air.
If the Tigers continue to spring leaks defensively vs. Mallett, they will have trouble winning this game as their offense has been truly mediocre this season. LSU is averaging an ordinary 24.8 points per game, and they have been below average both running the ball (3.8 yards per rush) and throwing it (6.9 yards per attempt).
It was their defense that was standing up and winning games earlier in the year, but as that defense has started to fold, the Tigers have lost two of their last three games with the lone win being by only eight points over a seemingly outclassed Louisiana Tech team.
The Tigers simply lack the firepower to keep pace with Mallett & Co., so look for an outright upset here.
Free Pick: Arkansas +3½ (-110)
