Toronto Maple Leafs +140 to shock Detroit Red Wings Saturday
Game Time: Saturday, November 7, 2009 07:05 PM ET
The Leafs may have just two wins, but since they have four overtime or shootout losses sandwiched between them, they have actually earned a point in six straight games. Dog Toronto.
The Detroit Red Wings have won three straight games to improve to 7-4-3 on the year while the Toronto Maple Leafs won just their second game of the year last night, but we look for the Leafs to pull off the stunner Saturday night.

Amazingly, sandwiched between the two Toronto victories are four straight losses in either overtime or shootouts, meaning that they are that close to actually winning six straight games and that they have indeed picked up at least one point in six straight games. After watching Vesa Toskala struggle for several seasons, Jonas Gustavsson has now emerged nicely in net, with a very respectable 2.84 GAA and .908 save percentage.
The Wings still have a losing record on the road at 2-3-2, and they are surprisingly struggling to score goals lately, scoring a total of seven goals in their last three games and just two goals in each of their last two contest. We still do not trust goaltender Chris Osgood without some good offensive support if Detroit have trouble solving Gustavsson here, they could be in trouble.
We look for the Leafs to rise up to the occasion here in front of a supportive Saturday crown at Air Canada Centre.
Free Pick: Maple Leafs +140
