Timberwolves F Madsen has shoulder surgery

MINNEAPOLIS (Ticker) -- Minnesota Timberwolves forward Mark
Madsen underwent successful right shoulder surgery, the team
announced Friday. The operation was performed by team orthopedic surgeons Dr.
David Fischer and Dr. Brad Nelson at the TRIA Orthopaedic
Center. The 6-9 Madsen will be sidelined up to three months. Madsen, 31, appeared in 56 games with the Timberwolves last
season, averaging 1.1 points and 1.6 rebounds. A first-round draft selection in 2000, Madsen owns career
averages of 2.3 points and 2.7 rebounds in parts of seven
seasons with the Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers.
