Patriots clinch AFC East title
11/25/2007
-
By PA SportsTicker The New England Patriots clinched a playoff berth Sunday without
even taking the field. The undefeated Patriots wrapped up the AFC East title when the
Buffalo Bills fell to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 36-14, on
Sunday. It is only the fourth time an NFL team has clinched a playoff
berth by the 11th game since the league went to a 16-game
schedule in 1978. New England (10-0), which won the AFC East for the fifth
consecutive season, hosts the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday
night.
