DENVER (Ticker) -- Denver Broncos safety John Lynch was added
to the AFC Pro Bowl roster on Tuesday. Lynch initially was selected as a first alternate, but an injury
to Indianapolis Colts safety Bob Sanders resulted in Lynch
being chosen to participate in the Pro Bowl for the fourth
consecutive season and ninth time in his career. His nine career Pro Bowl selections mark the second-highest
total in NFL history for a safety, trailing only Ken Houston.
The former Houston Oilers and Washington Redskins star had 10
Pro Bowl nominations. Lynch appeared in 13 games this season and finished with 62
tackles and one sack. In his 15-year career, Lynch had made
recorded 1,062 tackles, 26 interceptions and 13 sacks.
