Nashville (28-22-6) at Phoenix (28-23-4) 8:00 pm EST GLENDALE, Arizona (Ticker) - Both the Nashville Predators and
the Phoenix Coyotes will try to avoid their third consecutive
loss when they square off Sunday night. The Predators suffered a 4-3 setback to the San Jose Sharks on
Saturday after surrendering a power-play goal to Jonathan
Cheechoo with 4:55 left in the contest. Vernon Fiddler scored a pair of goals in the loss, giving him
nine tallies and 22 points on the campaign. The Coyotes yielded two goals in the first period and could not
recover, falling to the Columbus Blue Jackets, 2-1, on Thursday. Michael York scored the lone goal for Phoenix in that contest.
It snapped an 18-game goalless streak and he now has six tallies
and six assists in 49 games this season. The Coyotes are now tied with the Blue Jackets for 10th place in
the Western Conference, just two points out of the eighth seed,
which is currently held by the Predators.
