ASU has gotten off to a tremendous start with a 4-1 record and also 4-1 ATS. Can they continue making bettors money or will the Buffs buck the trend? Kickoff is scheduled for 9pm EST. Let's breakdown this Pac-12 match.
Todd Graham has turned this program around
For years the Sun Devils were known as the Oakland Raiders
of the Pac12, in terms of being completely undisciplined and highly
dysfunctional. Under former head coach Dennis Erickson, they always had all the
talent in the world but could never put it together because of the reasons
stated above. For example, almost every year under Erickson ASU were tops in
the nation in penalties and personal fouls. The AD decided it was time for a
change and boy did they hit a home run hiring the perfect no nonsense,
disciplined head coach in Todd Graham.
As we mentioned ASU is 4-1 ATS and 4-1 straight up, consitantly beating the odds this season. They are
coming off a game in which they went into Berkley and took Cal to the wood
shed, 27-17. Their only loss was to a good SEC Mizzou team and even that game
they lost by just four points. They have outscored their opponents by 192
points to a whopping 68!
They own one of the best defenses in the Pac 12, giving up
just 340 yards per game, 117 rushing and just 223 through the air while giving
up just 4 yards per play. They currently sit 1st in the South
division of the Pac12.
Colorado woes
Colorado sits at the bottom of the Pac 12 South at 1-4 on the
season and is one of the worst teams in football which has lead odds makers to
open up ASU a 22 point favorite. They rank dead last in almost every offensive
and defensive categories. The Buffs are coming off a game in which they got
absolutely smoked against UCLA 42-12. Fresno State also gave them a whooping
69-14 and last but not least; they lost to a terrible Sacramento State team in
their home stadium!
Colorado is giving up almost 500 yards per game, 173 rushing
and 283 passing. The potent ASU offense will be able to storm up and down the
field all day long.
Continue to ride Arizona State
This team is selling out for Todd Graham and has completely
bought into his game plan. They are playing with a world off confidence while
Colorado is in the gutter. Also, ASU is coming off a bye week, you give Todd
Graham an extra week to prepare and it just makes things that much harder for
Colorado.
This has blowout written all over it. Take the Sun Devils
-22 as one of your NCAA football selections.
