It's the Alphabet Bowl this Saturday in Provo, UT, as BYU hosts UNLV.  Look for the home Cougars to cover the 4-TD spread against the Rebels.

BYU is coming off a bye week, insuring QB John Beck’s (311 yds, 69%, 12-2) ankles have healed. This offense has been explosive especially at home averagig 45 ppg, 23 FDs and 442 ypg.

They now face a UNLV defense that is ranked #89 and has allowed 35 ppg in its lsat four contests. UNLV lost a tough one at home to New Mexico, 39-36 in OT. QB Steichen came off the bench in the second quarter for the struggling Hinds and was 18-30-295 yds with five TD passes, but had two costly interceptions and a fumble in OT to seal the win for NM.

While the Rebels have lost 12 straight road games (2-10 ATS), their last win was at BYU (24-21, +12) in ‘04. BYU has covered twice already as a 28½-pt favorite, and is now 5-0-1 ATS.

UNLV, meanwhile, is winless vs Div-I and has dropped four straight ATS. BYU sits atop the Mountain West with Air Force and, while they do have them on deck, they have and will continue to dominate at home.
