In this article we'll take a look at the total in the in
Washington Huskies and USC Trojans game in which we have already given a mini-preview
and early lean on the UNDER. We'll back that up even more here today.
Washington offensive
line
This offensive line may be the worst in the Pac-12. Keith
Price is under constant pressure with defenders always right in his grill,
leaving him no time at all to scan the field and resulting in either a sack for
negative yards or a throw away and a waste of down. This USC front seven has
been getting better every single game and it’s safe to say they are the more
talented unit here and it will be the next best unit Washington has seen since,
Stanford and despite coming away with an improbable win. We all saw how much,
Stanford dominated the UW O line and were in the backfield literally every
single play.
Huskies defense are a
different squad when playing at home
Every time this team has played at home, they have had very
inspired efforts on the defensive end, which has lead to all their home games
going under the posted total. We see it being no different here. Washington is
a very physical and in your face defense. They are going to be able to slow
down the Trojans most explosive part of their offense, in Marquise Lee and Robert
Woods.
UW corner back, Desmond Trufant is one of the most physical D-backs in the nation and Lee and Woods have been made it known they do not like being touched at the
line of scrimmage, nor do they like to engage in any type of physical play.
They are very fast and finesse type of wide outs. So they will be disrupted,
there is no doubt about that. Just how much is the question? We think it will
be just enough to keep this game low scoring.
Different outlets have the betting odds in USC's favor from between -13 to -11 and the TOTAL from 55.5 to 54.
USC defense
The Trojans are giving up just 338 yards per game while the
Huskies are averaging just 321 yards per game so with the wide talent gap here
the edge certainly goes to USC being able to shut UW down. USC is giving up
just 3.4 yards per carry, while Washington is only rushing for 3.7 yards a
rush. If the Huskies can't get any type of running game going, you can
absolutely forget it, with the problems they already have with their offensive
line, if they can't find a way to neutralize this USC front 7, QB Keith Price
will be eating dirt all day long.

Finally, it looks as there will be some defense played in a Pac-12 game.
