Cubs win!
Cubs win! Cubs win! That was the
cry Friday from Wrigley Field when the Chicago Cubs took the series opener from
the Los Angeles Dodgers by a 5-4 count.
The victory was somewhat historic in nature, since it moved the Cubs
ahead of the Dodgers in the all-time series, 944-943. As hard as it is to believe given Chicago's
loveable loser tag, that now leaves only the Giants and Pirates that the Cubs
have a losing record against among the seven franchises they've played at least
1,800 times.
