MLB Free Pick: Marlins Make It Three Straight Over Mets

By: | www.bigal.com
Florida has started this series by taking the first two in the four-game set.  The Fish will make it three in a row Saturday night behind left-hander Nate Robertson.

Our Saturday night MLB selection is on the Florida Marlins at home in Sun Life Stadium over the visiting New York Mets.

Dan UgglaFlorida won its second straight in this four-game set Friday evening with a 7-2 triumph as 140 chalk.  Backed by four home runs, two off the bat of Dan Uggla, Anibal Sanchez picked up the win for the Marlins with seven innings of four-hit ball.

Nate Robertson gets the start for the Fish tonight, and he's dominated New York bats in his career. The veteran lefty is 1-0 in his starts, with a 2.13 ERA and a sparkling WHIP of 0.86! That's one reason I like Florida.

Another is that the Mets have been dreadful in road games at night over the past couple of years. They lost to the Marlins last night and 2-1 Thursday evening, and have now dropped 47 of their last 63 in this situation.

John Maine has also struggled on the road this year, with an 0-1 record in three starts, and a dismal 7.71 ERA.

Take Florida to win the third game of this series.

Free Pick: Marlins (-117)
