The Orioles come into the Big Apple sky-high after sweeping the Red Sox over the weekend. Look for plenty of runs to cash the 'over from the Yanks and O's tonight.
Our Monday night MLB selection is on the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees 'over' the total in the Bronx.
The Orioles did something over the weekend that happens about as frequently as Haley's Comet. Baltimore swept the Red Sox in a three-game series and is starting to look like the kind of team that folks had high hopes for coming out of spring training.

The O's are in the back end of a 12-game stretch against the Yankees and Boston (six games against each of them), and with just this three-game series in the Bronx left Baltimore is actually sitting at 5-4.
In fact, after a disastrous start of 2-16, the O's are now 7-18. Five of those victories have come against Boston and New York, so there is at least some optimism in Baltimore.
But tonight will be tough as Jeremy Guthrie is going to try and put a horrible start behind him (7 ER in 4 2/3 innings), but it won't be easy as it's Yanks ace C.C. Sabathia's turn in the rotation. If nothing else, Guthrie should get some run support as in the last three games played in the Bronx in 2009, the O's scored a total of 20 runs.
Guthrie is just 3-7 with a 5.21 ERA in 13 games against New York so he will likely need that kind of support if the O's are going to have a chance.
The problem, however, is that in four starts against the O's last season, the Yankees scored a total of 36 runs for Sabathia.
The over is 5-1-2 in the last eight meetings of these two teams. Take the 'over.'
