Where have we uncovered the best value for your MLB picks today?

For today's MLB picks, I have decided to shify my attention to the always entertaining American League Central.

The Minnesota Twins went 3-1 in the first four games of its present homestand, outscoring the Cleveland Indians by a combined margin of 24-16. Ron Gardenhire’s club remains at Target Field for Tuesday’s opener against the Kansas City Royals, while the Detroit Tigers continue their visit with the Chicago White Sox in other American League Central action.

Kansas City Royals (Smith) at Minnesota Twins (Diamond) – 8:10 p.m. (ET)

Kansas City RoyalsMinnesota’s Scott Diamond (11-6, 3.35 ERA) and Kansas City’s Will Smith (4-7, 5.45 ERA) are slated to open their squads’ set in a battle of left-handed hurlers. MLB odds makers listed Diamond as a 150 favorite, while first setting the ‘total’ at nine.

Diamond found himself on the right end of a slugfest last time out, picking up his first win in five starts with last Tuesday’s 18-9 victory for Minnesota as a 132 road dog against the White Sox. The 26-year-old gave up four runs in five innings, while the Twins edged out Chicago in hits, 17-13.

Smith logged a third straight loss in his most recent start on Sept. 1, with Kansas City dropping a 3-1 decision as a 132 home favorite against Minnesota. The rookie lasted six frames, allowing all three of Minneosta’s runs on nine hits.

Minnesota has hit .304 at home against left-handed pitching, while the OVER has gone 4-1 in the last five affairs between these foes. Look for the OVER to cash again here, adding to the wager’s 3-1-1 mark in Kansas City’s last five games against a listed southpaw.

Detroit Tigers (Fister) at Chicago White Sox (Peavy) – 8: 10 p.m. (ET)

Chicago’s Jake Peavy (10-10, 3.22 ERA) is scheduled to oppose Detroit’s Doug Fister (8-8, 3.54 ERA) in a duel of right-handed starters, following Chicago’s 6-1 triumph in Monday’s opener of the series. Of the online MLB baseball betting shops we check, most opened the matchup as a pick’em, while listing the ‘total’ at 8 ½.

Jake PeavyJake Peavy allowed just one run in six innings as part of Wednesday’s 6-2 for victory for Chicago over Minnesota, collecting as 194 home ‘chalk.’ White Sox outfielder Alex Rios drove in all six of his squad’s runs with two homers, including a first-inning grand slam.

The same night of action saw Fister last seven frames in Detroit’s 7-1 triumph as a 192 home favorite against Cleveland. Tigers sluggers Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder both cracked homers, finishing a combined 3-for-7, while mate Jhonny Peralta drove in two runs as part of a 2-for-4 night.

Fister and Peavy squared off in last month, with Detroit pulling out a 7-4 win as a minus 130 home choice. Peavy was shelled for six runs over six innings, while Fister ended up with a no-decision after giving up two earned runs over five frames.

The shift to Chicago for Tuesday’s rematch should tighten up the octane, with Detroit managing just 1.5 RPG in the first four dates of their present road trip. Look for the UNDER to collect here, with the wager going 4-1 in the Tigers’ last five road games against right-handed starters and 5-2 in Peavy’s last seven outings as a home favorite.
