With today’s picks, we’ll feature an MLB Parlay of the Day that highlights two critical series' out West. The Rangels and Angels and the Rockies Giants. See what teams we are backing for a profitable payout.

Let's get ready for another exciting night of Major League baseball!

Rangers at Angels

Texas will look to get back in the win column tonight after getting drubbed by the Angels last night 10-3. The Halos have won 15 of their last 20 but still find themselves six games behind the division leaders, Texas and 3.5 games out of the AL Wild Card spot. They will have to put more work in tonight if they want to make a play off push.

Texas owns CJ Wilson

CJ Wilson_SPORTS_BETTING_MLB_PICKS

Wilson has been torched by his former team mates and it has resulted in an ERA that almost touches eight. In his last start against the Rangers he lasted just 5 innings getting lit up for 10 hits, 8 runs and 2 long balls. It is pretty safe to say that the Rangers line up loves to see Wilson on the mound.

Halos own Derek Holland

Derek has not lost since July 31st and over his last three starts, Holland has gone 2-0 while the team has gone 3-0. He’s pitching to a tune of a 2.55 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and giving up just 13 hits in 17 innings pitched. Despite all of this, the Angels have had Holland’s number. Remember how we said his last loss came July 31st? Yeah, that was against the Angels. That start, Derek was lit up for 6 earned runs and 3 deep balls in just 6 innings pitched. Over all, Holland has given up 12 runs in 13 innings to the Halos and is very suspect to the long ball, giving up at least one HR in 15 of his last 17 starts.

Lines makers have opened this up with the Angels being a -120 favorite and the OVER/UNDER at 8. We believe they have made an error on the total because of the recent success of these two pitchers. Bottom line is when these two teams match up with these two pitchers, runs are scored and these two pitchers are lit up.

We'll take the OVER 8 in the first leg of our parlay

Colorado at San Francisco

Matt Cain_Sports_Betting_MLB_PicksThe Giants have straight up owned the Rockies this season with a 4 game win streak over them and are 12-4 against them over all this year. Matt Cain will take the hill tonight and he and his mates have opened up a huge -225 favorite. The Rockies have dropped 11 of their last 13. Quite the mismatch, wouldn't you say?

The Giants

We find it shocking that no one is talking about the San Francisco Giants when it comes to making noise in the play offs. This is a team that is just 2 years removed from a World Series win. They have practically the same pitching staff, possibly even better and also a much improved line up. SF leads the Dodgers by 7 games in the NL West and its only a matter of time before they win their 2nd NL West title in three years. This team is a force to be reckoned with and we aren't quite sure why anyone isn't discussing them? Colorado is in for a long series as the Giants are hungry for the division crown.

Tyler Chatwood

Colorado will send a gas can to the mound and he stands no chance tonight. In his last outing, Tyler lasted just barely 4 innings, getting shelled for four hits and five earned runs. Over his last three starts he owns a crazy high ERA of 8.49 and even worse WHIP of 1.89.

These are two teams and starting pitchers going in complete opposite directions, with completely different mind sets. The Giants are chomping at the bit to win that division crown and get into the post season and prove their last WS title was no fluke. Meanwhile Colorado is just completely miserable and are looking to pack it in.

We won't lay juice on the heavy odds of -255 here, but we will put it into a parlay with the Texas LA OVER. Laying $100 on this would pay us $165. Good luck everybody!
