Moyer, Philadelphia Phillies -129 bounce back vs. Toronto Blue Jays

The Phillies bullpen collapsed last night giving the Jays an extra inning win, but Jamie Moyer will pitch Philadelphia back into the win column tonight vs. Toronto.

Jamie Moyer has been drinking from the fountain of youth lately; pitching quality starts in four of his last five games on the hill. The 46-year old shows no signs of slowing down with a 0.79 WHIP, 2.84 ERA, and a 10/0 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

Jamie MoyerMoyer has been solid as a favorite this season posting a 5-2 record laying chalk. He is facing a Toronto team that is batting just .248 vs. southpaws in their last 10 games. The Phillies are a pretty good bounce-back team with a 8-2 record following their last 10 losses.

The Blue Jays have dropped eight of their last 10 interleague games and lost 10 of their last 13 road games overall. Toronto has dropped 17 of their last 25 games during a horrible skid with plenty of injuries to their starting rotation.

Tonight's starter, Scott Richmond, has been back and forth between the bullpen and starting rotation and hasn't got a win since May 3. Roy Halladay was supposed to get the start but after a groin setback the Jays will send Richmond to the hill. In his last start this season vs. a struggling Royals lineup, Richmond allowed five earned runs in 4.2 innings on June 6. In his last five starts he has given up 17 earned runs and 29 hits as Toronto lost four of the five games.

Tonight the Phillies bounce back from last night's 8-3 defeat and even the series with Toronto. Lay the chalk with Philadelphia.
