Clayton Kershaw has been one of the best pitchers in the National League and he would be a huge winner with a better team. Dillon Gee has also been very solid, so go ‘under’ at Dodger Stadium.
Do not look for much scoring in one of the late MLB matchups Thursday when Dillon Gee and the New York Mets (45-42 overall, 26-20 away) pay a visit to Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers (37-51 overall, 19-27 home) as the clubs wrap up a four-game series from Dodger Stadium in Los Angels, CA at 10:10 ET.

The Mets are going for the four-game road sweep here, as their first three wins in this series leaves them in third place in the
National League East, although they still trail the Philadelphia Phillies by 9½ games
The Dodgers, meanwhile, are in danger of finishing in last place in the
National League West for just the second time since laving Brooklyn for Chavez Ravine. Last place is where they currently reside, 12 games behind the World Champion San Francisco Giants.
They do have their ace on the mound in Kershaw though, and with the Mets’ Dillon Gee also pitching out of his mind for most of this season, we are recommending a play on the
‘under’ on this contest.
The MLB latest line from
5 Dimes has the total at 6½ for this contest, with the
betting odds on the ‘under’ set at -120.
Kershaw has managed to go 8-4 despite pitching for a dreadful team on the
National League odds this season, and he would probably be a double-digit winner with most other clubs. Kershaw has a 3.23 ERA and a 1.06 WHIP while holding opposing batters to just a .217 batting average, and he has an amazing 138 strikeouts against just 33 walks in 122.2 innings!
Kershaw has also fared well in his four career starts vs. the Mets, going 3-0 with a scintillating 1.85 RA.
Gee is having a fine year in his own right, and he is 8-2 with a 3.47 ERA and a 1.20 WHIP while limiting opposing batters to a .222 average, and the Mets as a team are 11-2 in
baseball betting in all the games that he has started! He has made one career start vs. the Dodgers, and it was a decent one as he allowed two runs on seven hits n 5.2 innings.
Thus, look for a low scoring affair in Los Angeles this evening.
