Pirates and Diamondbacks Under 7½ in Arizona on Thursday

Two strong arms take the mound tonight against a pair of weak offenses tonight in Arizona, making the Under the way to go when the Pirates take on the Diamondbacks.

A pair of very weak offensive teams meet here, with the Diamondbacks ranked 19th and Pirates 24th in the league in runs scored.

The two starting pitchers are having good seasons, too. Charlie Morton of the Pirates doesn't walk anyone and is 2-1 with a 2.65 ERA his last three starts. Dan Haren of the Diamondbacks is having a terrific season at 10-5 with a 1.96 ERA.

Pittsburgh broke out a bit on offense in Milwaukee where they took two out of three and scored 18 runs in the series.  Likewise, Arizona scored more than normal in losing two out of three to the Rockies, with those games in the hitter-friendly thin air of Colorado.  But look for the two lineups to get back to normal in this four-game weekend set.

Don't look for much offense, play the Pirates/Diamondbacks under the total.
