White Sox and Blue Jays to go Over 8½ at nice +112 odds

Gavin Floyd has been a good Over pitcher this season, and he has been awful on the road with a 9.00 ERA. Surprisingly, the Over is also 6-2 in all Roy Halladay starts for the Blue Jays.

Gavin Floyd (2-3 7.32 ERA) takes the mound for the Chicago White Sox and he is up against Toronto Blue Jays ace Roy Halladay (7-1 2.95 ERA).

When Floyd pitches, the Over has cashed a ticket six of seven starts this season. Floyd has been pounded on the road with a 9.00 ERA early in the year. He is averaging one run per inning on the highway, with 22 runs allowed in just 22 innings pitched.

Make a note in two starts in domes this season against the Devil Rays and Twins, both games went Over the posted total. In his last two starts he has given up 14 earned runs and 17 hits just 10 innings of work. He faced Toronto last month as he gave up five earned runs and nine hits in just four innings in what turned out to be a Toronto 14-0 win. That isn't exactly a confidence booster for the young pitcher today. The Over is 5-0 in his last five road games.

The Over is 6-2 in Roy Halladays starts this season, as he has gotten loads of run support and we can expect that today against the struggling Floyd. In his only start vs the White Sox this season he gave up eight hits and three earned runs in seven innings pitched. The Over is 7-1 in his last eight home games. The Over is 13-3 in his last 16 starts dating back to last season.

We think the 8½-run total is too low and the Blue Jays most likely will exceed 8½ runs by themselves in this game. Play the Over 8½.

Free Pick: White Sox, Blue Jays Over 8½ (+112)
