Joe Freda - The Atlanta Braves will turn to Tim Hudson in today's rubber game against the New York Mets. Each team has grabbed a win in this three game series, with Mets winning yesterday's match as the under dogs.

Bob Harvey - Houston and San Diego conclude their four-game series this afternoon at Petco Park in California with Mat Latos taking to the bump for the Padres opposite of Houston Astros rookie Jordan Lyles.

Bob Harvey - On a night in which their offense was held in check, the Arizona Diamondbacks found another way to win as they moved back into first-place in the National League West with their second straight victory over the Washington Nationals.

Joe Freda - The Florida Marlins will look to pitcher Chris Volstad to avenge last night's loss to the Milwaukee. Yovani Gallardo will take the mound for the Brewers to clinch the three game series with win, and set up a possible sweep on Sunday.

Bob Harvey - A pair of impressive streaks will be on the line tonight when the Tigers and Justin Verlander take on Juan Pierre and the resurgent White Sox. Detroit opened as a -125 favorite over Edwin Jackson with the total at 8.

Bob Harvey - The Philadelphia Phillies and the Pittsburgh Pirates take to the field again after last nights pitching battle. Tonight both teams will race to see who's bats can get hot first, but if last night taught us anything, the 'Under' might be worth looking at.

Joe Freda - The Boston Red Sox went 0-3 in the first three games against the White Sox, outscored by a combined margin of 24-14.  Terry Francona’s club continues its stretch at Fenway Park with Friday’s series opener against the Oakland Athletics.

After hitting just four home runs in the first two months, Aubrey Huff doubled his output the past two days. The first-place Giants and their backers hope Huff can remain hot against the Rockies who arrive in the Bay Area for a three-game series.

Bob Harvey - The Phillies and Pirates open up a weekend series in Pittsburgh with Philly looking to snap a two-game losing streak and the Pirates trying to regroup after blowing a seven-run lead in a loss to the Mets.
