Tim Wakefield vs. Gavin Floyd

Gavin Floyd has an 8-9 record on the season with a 4.11 era, his July record is 2-2 with an era of 3.81. He has been lacking this year at home with a 2-4 record and a very bad era of 6.26. Floyd has had a 42.9% chance of a quality start at home this year. However he has let up a whopping six home runs at home this year, for an average of a little less than one HR given up per game. The six foot six, right handed, powerhouse of a man is 2-1 in the last three starts, with a 3.79 era.

Wakefield is a surprising 6-3 overall record on the year, with a pretty high era of 5.15. Timmy comes into the game off his 2000th career strikeout, a monumental feat in MLB, but he didn't even realize what he had accomplished until Jarrod Saltalamacchia approached him at the mound and let him in on the secret. He has rattled off a four game winning streak heading into the Windy City this weekend, he has also won 5 of his last 6 games overall.

Game 2: July 30th, (Saturday) 8:30pm

John Lester vs. Edwin Jackson

John Lester has an overall record of 10-4 on the season, with an era of 3.23. John has an impressive 7-1 road record with a 2.80 era, while holding opposing batters to a very low average of .202. He has a 1-0 record in his last three starts, with a near perfect era of 0.55. Lester's record at night is 6-4 with an era of 4.03, while allowing opponents to hit him at .270 avg.

Edwin Jackson has a overall record of 7-7 for the season, 3.92 era. He also has a miserable night record of 1-5, with a era of 3.79. The reason behind the woeful night game record is that opponents are hitting a very healthy .296 avg. against him, plus he is giving up 72 hits in 61 innings. Edwin Jackson is 3-1 record, with a 3.21 era, while holding opponents to a .265 avg. for the season.

Game 3: July 31st, (Sunday) 1:30 PM

Andrew Miller vs. Mark Buehrle

Andrew Miller started out on fire when he first arrived from triple A Pawtuket, to take the place of Dice K who went down with a season ending injury of his elbow that required Tommy John surgery. The Red Sox picked up the young hurler from the Marlins in the off-season and the move added to the depth of the Red Sox starting rotation. Home record is 5-1, 3.22 ERA.

The Chicago White Sox have been in a stage of recent descent and the former Ace, Mark Buehrle has been the one bright spot amongst this highly acclaimed group starters. He has been absolutely on a tear since May with a record of 7-2, plus he has a surprising record of 12-2 in games which he didn't pick up a win. Mark has been pitching really well in the last 3 games and has a 2-0 record with a 0.86 era.
