Vickers made the jump to the Nextel Series full-time in 2004 after winning the Busch Series Championship in 2003. He raced with Hendrick Motorsports from 2004-2006 and posted 23 Top 10 finishes, 10 Top 5 finishes and a victory marred by controversy. Vickers joined Team Red Bull in 2007 after a rocky split with Hendricks.
