The Milwaukee Bucks were embarrased by 45 points New Year's Eve in Detroit and should be hopping mad tonight when they travel to Florida to take on the Miami Heat.

Our Wednesday night NBA selection is on the Milwaukee Bucks as road underdogs over the Miami Heat.

On New Year's Eve, the Milwaukee Bucks traveled to Auburn Hills to take on Detroit, and were run out of town by the Pistons, 114-69. That 45-point loss was the worst defeat suffered by the Bucks in over 12 years, and I expect Michael Redd & Co. to rebound in Miami on Wednesday night.

For technical support, it's worth noting that NBA teams off a loss of 40 or more points are terrific if they are matched up against a foe that is not off back-to-back wins.  Since 1990, these teams are 45-22 ATS.  The Heat have lost four straight games, and have failed to cover nine of their last 10!  It's incredible to think that this team was the NBA Champion less than two years ago (or that the Dallas Mavericks collapsed to this team).

Miami is 1-7 as a home favorite this season.  Like the Heat, the Bucks have struggled as a favorite, going 1-8 ATS this year.  But they'll be an underdog here, and Milwaukee is a super 8-2 ATS this year as an underdog vs. a foe off a SU loss. Take the points with Milwaukee.
