The Heat is clinging to fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings and can't afford a loss tonight. Expect Miami to get the win and cover on the road against the T-wolves.
Our Saturday night NBA selection is on the Miami Heat minus the points on the road over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Timberwolves snapped their 16-game losing streak earlier this week with a victory over Sacramento, but they're still mired in a miserable season. And over the past 20 years, it's been extremely profitable (67% ATS) to go against .299 (or worse) teams off a win, if that win came in the final 24 games of the season.

The poorest of the NBA's teams generally play out the string toward the end of the season, and they rarely put two solid games together back-to-back, as they tend to relax more off a win.
The Heat will be playing with payback in mind after the T-wolves handed Miami a 91-88 loss in South Beach back in February. Playing without star Dwyane Wade, Minnesota jumped out to a nine-point lead in the first quarter and held on for the triumph as eight-point underdogs.
With Miami fighting for playoff position with Milwaukee (and also playing with revenge from an earlier loss to the T-Wolves, we'll look for the Heat to blow out Minnesota on Saturday night.
