Which matchups have we decided to add to our NBA picks tonight?
Because
of the NCAA Tournament, we are taking the week off with our NBA Betting Thursday Parlay. Currently, I am 4-6 and +10.1 units. Instead of the parlay
this week, I am giving you a couple of NBA picks that you can use to pad your
betting picks today.
With the
start of March Madness, the NBA has taken a back seat to NCAA basketball.
However, if you aren’t having any luck with the big dance, you have five NBA
games this evening to help you out with your sports picks. Below, I have two games
that I really like. I’m adding them to my NBA picks and so should you.
Oklahoma City Thunder vs Denver
Nuggets
Now that
the Nuggets are healthy again, they look like the team they started this year
as. They score very effectively, and even though they still are giving up a lot
of points, they have multiple weapons available to them. The return of Danillo
Gallanari is huge for this team. He is their number one scoring option and
before he went down with an ankle injury back in February, he was averaging
over 17 points per game.
After
him, the Nuggets still have tons of options. Nene is living up to his nice
contract that he got this off-season, while the point guard duo of Ty Lawson
and Andre Miller have been outstanding.
NBA odds boards opened with the Nuggets as one-point
favorites in this game, but heavy betting on Oklahoma City has moved the
Nuggets to +1.
As we
all know, the Thunder are no slouches either. Oklahoma City owns the best
record in the Western Conference by several games. They have, and will probably continue to
separate themselves from the rest of the West until the end of the season. If
they can secure home court advantage, it might be a one-way ticket to the
finals. However, the West is still very congested behind them, and with 20-25
games left for all teams, there are a few Western Conference teams that will be
able to make a run.
The
Thunder won the only meeting between these two teams back in mid-February, but
that was without a couple of key players for the Nuggets. In that game, the
Thunder were favored by -8 and did not cover.
The lines are close, and one handicapper has already decided to go with a pick on the Nuggets at +1.5. However, now favored by -1, I am
going with the public here and laying the point with Oklahoma City.
My Pick: Thunder -1
Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles
Clippers
Both
squads played last night and both came away with good wins. The Clippers were
at home last night and they won easily 96-82 over Atlanta. The Suns got a home
win as well, as they took care if the Jazz 120-111. Tonight, the Clippers are
laying seven points to Steve Nash and company.
While
both teams have been playing much better lately, the Suns look like a team
trying to play above and beyond for Steve Nash. Nash’s name has been floated
around in trade rumors this entire season, as he is like the silent Dwight Howard.
While the trade deadline still looms this afternoon, Nash looks like he will
stay put.
I have
been saying all year that I think the Clippers are overrated. Los Angeles is a
good team, but I don’t think they are as good as most people claim them to be.
In that case, I really like the Suns taking so many points tonight. Both teams
had to play last night and I like the duo of Steve Nash and Marcin Gortat just
as much, if not more then Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.
My Pick: Suns +7
Check out Steven Suarez's pick for the Suns +7 as well!
