LeBron James and the Heat are just one win away rom clinching their first NBA Title. Do the Oklahoma City Thunder have any fight left in them? Let's find out what the NBA odds makers are offering us, and decide if it's too early to make our NBA picks.
We hear
all the time that defense and experience wins championships, and this series has one helped to prove that this saying still rings true. Even though the
Heat haven’t been playing great defense, they have the experience. What you
don’t hear all the time is how inexperience and youth losses championships.
This is what we all witnessed for the second game in a row last night.
The
Thunder started out on fire, and looked unstoppable. This was supposed to be
Russell Westbrook’s coming out party, and even though he had the game of his
career, the Thunder once again pissed away a game with timely errors and bad
plays. Once again James Harden couldn’t be that third scoring option for the
Thunder, and now the Heat are one win away from silencing their critics.
The NBA odds for Game
5 are very similar to Game 4, as the Heat are once again favored by -3,
with a total of 193 ½ points. I went 2-0 in my picks for Game 4, as the over
cashed with ease, and my teaser hit as well.
For Game
5, I’m tempted to go out in a blaze of glory and take the Thunder moneyline,
but I’m not sure if that’s the fan in me handicapping this game, or what. The
over might be the play again, but there is something fishy about the total
being the same as what it closed at before Game 4, especially after their were
over 200 points scored last game.
I am in
no way endorsing you to go take this right now, but as of today, I’m leaning
the Heat money line and the over. However, when it gets closer to game time, I
might just play some props or more likely the team total. This game will be
hard to pick, and I’ll need every hour to decide where the smart money is. In
other words, keep your eyes open for my official picks, because as of now, I
have no idea what I want.
