With thirteen games on tap tonight, see which ones I think hold the best NBA betting value.
A huge NBA slate is scheduled for tonight, which gives us plenty of
sports betting opportunities to try and catch some value on a game. I have added couple of big blowouts to tonight's
NBA picks, and it looks as if the
NBA odds boards are lining up in our favor.
Milwaukee Bucks vs Chicago Bulls
Two players will play a key role in my pick for this game.
First, the Bucks will be without Andrew Bogut after he badly sprained his ankle
in the Bucks' last game. Milwaukee has no idea how long Bogut will be out, but he has allready missed five games this season, of which the Bucks
are 0-5 SU and 1-4 ATS.
Without their second leading scorer and zero inside
presence, the Bucks will surely struggle. In those five games Milwaukee only
averaged 85 points per game, as they average 92 per game on the season.
On the flip
side, the Bulls had a bad loss to the Pacers this past Wednesday. It was their
first full game without Luol Deng, and even though they didn't play that well,
they only lost by 5 points. Derrick Rose was openly enraged after the game and
seeing as he is the most competitive player in the entire league; he will be
looking to take out his frustrations on the Bucks who just happend to be
the next game on his schedule. Look for Chicago to blow out the Bucks here.
My Pick: Bulls -11
San Antonio Spurs vs Minnesota Timberwolves
What do these two teams have in common? They both run and
gun. Minnesota and San Antonio both love to get up and down the floor and push
the tempo. The Spurs are 3rd in the league in scoring, despite
losing Manu Ginobli for an extended period of time this season. What hasn't
been good for them is their defense, which is giving up over 95 points per
game.
Their counterpart in this game is facing similar issues. They score and give up
around 95 points per game. The last time these two teams met one another, the
final total was 202. I expect both of these teams to get up and down the floor
and for the shot clock to be continuously resetting. I see another 200 point
total and for the Wolves and Spurs tonight.
My Pick: 'over' 195 ½
New York Knicks vs Miami Heat
I don't believe that I can add the New York Knicks to any of my NBA picks for the rest of the season. They have shown zero signs of improvement from
last season and I think New York fans are starting to realize that even though
they finally got their superstar in Carmelo Anthony, they seem to not have the parts
around him and Amare Stoudemire to be competitive. Now, there have even been
rumors, (true or false) that people have suggested trading Stoudemire for a
Dwight Howard and parts. The Knicks are 7-11 SU and 4-14 ATS this season and
are currently out of the playoff hunt.
For the Miami Heat, the man that can tie it
all together, Dwayne Wade, is close to returning to the court. Though no news
on his status has been released at the time of publishing for this article,
Wade was close to returning Wednesday. If he ends up getting some minutes
tonight against the Knicks this game is a lock.
Even if Wade doesn't take to the floor, the Knicks have been playing so badly on offense and defense that the
Heat still should have no problems handing them another loss. Plus, the Knicks have been
turning the ball over an average of 20 times a game . The Heat will jump the Knicks' passing lanes and force
plenty more turnovers. Lebron James should have a huge night taking his
counterpart Carmelo Anthony to school.
Handicapper Bob Harvey has already posted his pick in favor of the 'Under' tonight, but I am going to place my pick on this game's spread.
My Pick: Heat -10
