We have a few NBA preseason matchups on the table tonight, and after a strong start with my preseason betting record, I have decided to share a few more free NBA picks for you to add to your betting ticket tonight.
Preseason NBA record: 5-1
It’s
been a pretty good preseason for us so far, but alas, the regular season is
just a week away. Still, we can find value in these preseason lines, as teams
are going to play some of their final games like a real one. Teams have been
playing their starters a bit more than in weeks past, and spreads are small
enough to find value.
There
are four games on tonight’s preseason schedule, and while all four don’t seem
to have value, there is some hidden away in there. So, let’s take a look at
some of the ones I have a beat on, and you can decide for yourself whether or
not to take the plunge.
Pacers vs. Cavaliers
Indiana
is only favored by -2 in this one, and even though the Cavs are going to be
much improved this season, they are still trying to find their groove. Kyrie
Irving spent the last two months rehabbing a broken hand, so his flow hasn’t
quite been the same this preseason.
The
Pacers on the other hand have been playing it safe so far this preseason, but
Danny Granger is set to make his preseason debut tonight. He should do nothing
but help the Pacers in this one, as they have been pretty solid so far without
him this preseason.
The Cavs
are still trying to round out their rotation, while the Pacers have theirs down
and ready. With Cleveland still trying to figure out their shooting guard and
small forward spots, they will be playing more for evaluation, leading me to
add the Pacers to my NBA picks in this one.
My Pick: Pacers -2
Suns vs. Warriors
The
Warriors were my preseason surprise team in the Western Conference this season,
and I’m sticking to that. Even though Stephon Curry has “tweaked,” his ankle
once again, and will probably not play, the Warriors have looked pretty
impressive so far this preseason. They haven’t even been able to use their
newly acquired Andrew Bogut yet and they are still 5-2 SU in the preseason.
Golden
State will also be back at home for this preseason game, after four straight
road games. They looked good in all of them expect their last one, where no one
had anything going, and they lost to the Clippers.
The Suns
on the other hand are implementing a lot of new stuff this offseason, as they
have to deal with the loss of Steve Nash and some other name players. They still
have their core guys of Jared Dudley and Marcin Gortat, but they have Michael
Beasley now, as well as Goran Dragic running the point position. They are
another team that will be using this game as a chance to get their rotation and
plays down, and not trying to win at all costs. The Warriors on the other hand,
Mark Jackson will be having them playing their butts off, especially on
defense. I like the Warriors to cover the small spread in this one, and bounce
back from their terrible game against the Clippers.
My
Pick: Warriors -3 ½
