Warriors forward David Lee recorded a fifth straight
double-double, finishing with 20 points and 13 boards. Lee’s mates Stephen
Curry and Klay Thompson united to drain 5-of-10 buckets beyond the arc,
combining for 48 points from the backcourt.
The contest’s 195 points stretched above the closing
‘total’ of 194 ½, lifting the OVER to 4-0 in the Warriors’ last four games.
Golden State was edged out in paint points, 52-44, while sinking 15-of-19 free
throws.
Nuggets, Gallinari rally in Minny
Denver ended its three-game road trip this week with
Wednesday’s 101-94 victory as a 3 ½-point road favorite against the Minnesota
Timberwolves. The Nuggets trailed by as many as 17 points, outscoring Minnesota
in the second half, 57-36, to surge ahead.
Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari notched a team-high 19
points, shooting 6-of-11 from the field. Denver’s Kenneth Faried pulled in 14
rebounds, while big man Kosta Koufos logged three of his squad’s eight blocks.
The battle’s combined 195 points leaped above the ‘total’
of 191 ½, bringing the OVER to 3-2 in the Nuggets’ last five contests. Denver
outrebounded the Timberwolves, 49-45, while holding Minnesota to 38.2 percent
field shooting.
Back the Warriors as road dogs
Most NBA odds sites opened Denver as a seven-point home
favorite, while first setting the ‘total’ at 202. Golden State is playing the
front end of a back-to-back, returning home for Saturday’s matchup with
Minnesota. Denver will have one day off, remaining at Pepsi Center as part of
Sunday’s league slate against the New Orleans Hornets.

The Warriors will look for revenge here after being held

Denver. Klay Thompson cooled off for a short stretch after playing 55 minutes
in the lengthy affair, but had his shooting heat up again facing Brooklyn.
Denver has had its share of octane, but faces a Warriors
squad here that has tightened up. Golden State has given up 43.1 percent field
shooting, ranking sixth in the league.
Warriors forward Carl Landry is ranked third among
Western Conference shooters, connecting at a 60.2 percent clip from the floor.
The Milwaukee native nearly had a double-double last time out against the
Nuggets, piling in 22 points and nine boards.
Look for Landry and Co. to hit enough shots to keep this
matchup close enough for a Warriors’ cashed ticket, adding to the team’s 19-7-1
ATS mark in its last 27 road games.
