A full slate of NBA action on Wednesday night included Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers in a 117-79 blowout against their fellow La-La Land compatriots, the Clippers.
Kobe Bryant led seven Lakers in double digits with 16 and former UCLA standout Jordan Farmer came off the bench for Phil Jackson to add 15 in a 117-79 blowout of the Clips to easily cover the 10-point spread in that one.
Meanwhile back East, the Atlanta Hawks pulled off the night's biggest upset with a 99-85 win over the Magic in Orlando. The Hawks were 8½-point dogs entering that contest. And more than 19,000 packed into the Ford Center in Oklahoma City to see the first official game in Oklahoma Thunder history. But the Milwaukee Bucks spoiled the party with a 98-87 win as 4-point underdogs.
