Time to see what we can come up with for Saturday's busy day of college hoops. A humongous number of games so let's get right down to it; here are my preferred NCAA basketball picks today.

Oregon State (16-13 SU, 11-13-1 ATS) vs. Colorado (19-10 SU, 13-12 ATS)

Tipoff at 4:00 PM EST

I believe Colorado has a great shot at covering the number on the NCAA basketball odds board against Oregon State. They just let one get away against Oregon and I think they'll bounce back today.

The Buffaloes' D really let them down in the loss to the Ducks. They surrendered 90 points and allowed their opponents to shoot 54.4 percent from the floor. At least Colorado can take some comfort in the fact they were hitting their shots (54.5 percent) as well.

It was a surprising effort from Colorado as they had really looked good defensively leading up to that game. Even with that recent letdown, the Buffaloes are giving up 63.8 PPG over their last five. I'd imagine Tad Boyle tore into his team at practice, which I'm hoping leads to much more cohesiveness on the defensive end in this one.

Moreover, Colorado's performances against the number have left a lot to be desired, but Oregon State's been even worse in that respect. The Beavers haven't covered ATS in six straight games.

Let's not forget about the first meeting of the season between these two, either. Colorado dominated the Beavers from the opening tip and went on to win by 22 points. The Buffaloes got double-digit scoring out of five different players, with Andre Roberson (16 points, 15 boards, two blocks, two steals) leading the way.

I feel the wrong team is favored today and therefore I'm picking Colorado to cover as part of my college basketball picks for today.

PICK: Colorado Buffaloes +4.5

Kansas (25-5 SU, 15-13-1 ATS) vs. Texas (19-11 SU, 8-16-1 ATS)

Tipoff at 9:00 PM EST

Finishing off the night I'm taking a total play to the sportsbooks. It involves Big 12 leader Kansas as they play host to J'Covan Brown and the Texas Longhorns.

KU has won seven in a row while Texas is 6-2 SU over their previous eight. The Longhorns, however, haven't cashed ATS in four consecutive matchups and are just 4-8 ATS on the road so far.

I like the OVER tonight mainly because of how efficient Kansas has been at home. They're good for 81.2 PPG in Lawrence and it helps that the Longhorns' have had a lot of trouble defensively on the road this year.

Tyshawn Taylor is playing as well as anyone in the nation right now and his head-to-head battle with Brown should be fun to watch. The Texas guard is averaging just shy of 20 PPG and there's no doubt he'll be the go-to guy as the Longhorns look to keep pace with Bill Self's high-flying soldiers.

The OVER is 7-1 in Texas' last eight road games and is also 4-0 in the Jayhawks' last four matchups at Allen Fieldhouse. This season, the OVER is 8-4 in the 12 games the Longhorns have played away from home. It's a trend that's also gone 10-5 in Kansas' 15 home contests this season.

Put it all together and I fancy a lot of points being scored in this one.

PICK: OVER 138
