What kind of college basketball betting value is out there
for us to take advantage of on Tuesday? Let's run over the lines and see if we
can come up with a pair of winners.
Wisconsin Badgers vs. Indiana Hoosiers
The Badgers put their undefeated record (16-0) on the line
tonight when they go head-to-head with the Hoosiers.
Current NCAA basketball betting lines have Wisconsin favored
by 4.5 points here on the road, while the total can be found at 139 at most
sites we've checked. This season, Wisconsin has been the better team to back
with your NCAA basketball picks, having gone 11-5 ATS as opposed to Indiana's 7-7-1 ATS
The Hoosiers come in on the heels of a hard-fought 79-76
road win over Penn State this past weekend, a game in which they came in
favored by 1.5 points. Noah Vonleh paced Indiana with 19 points and six
The win was Indiana's first in conference play, as they had
opened up with consecutive losses to Illinois (80-83 in overtime) and Michigan
As for Wisconsin, they continue to play lights out
basketball. They've passed every test that's come before them so far and are
showing no signs of slowing down.
The Badgers have already gone into some tough environments
and shown no signs of being intimidated. They've beaten the likes of Saint
Louis and Virginia on neutral courts and beat both Virginia (48-38) and
Northwestern (76-49) on the road.
You know Assembly Hall is going to be rocking tonight, but
Wisconsin's experience will help them out here. They're by far the better team
and we expect them to prove it.
Pick: Wisconsin Badgers -4.5
Pittsburgh Panthers vs. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Tonight the Panthers travel south to take on the Yellow
Jackets, with online sportsbooks listing Pittsburgh as a significant road favorite.
Jamie Dixon's team hasn't had any trouble at all since ACC
play started up. They've won by double figures against the likes of NC State,
Maryland and Wake Forest and will be hoping to keep it going tonight.
Over the weekend the Panthers beat the Demon Deacons 80-65,
with Lamar Patterson putting up 26 points, six assists and five rebounds in the
Georgia Tech comes in having just beaten Notre Dame 74-69 at
home. The Yellow Jackets were home underdogs ahead of the tipoff, but Trae
Golden's 20 points and Daniel Miller's double-double keyed the hosts to the
Conference play hasn't been quite as kind to Georgia Tech
though, as they opened with double-digit losses to Maryland (61-77) and Duke
(57-79). Granted both contests were on the road.
When push comes to shove, we actually like the Yellow
Jackets to make this one interesting and take the Panthers down to the wire.
They're already overcome two solid teams in Notre Dame and Illinois at home,
with their one loss coming to a good Dayton squad.
With a big game coming up at Syracuse this coming weekend,
this could indeed be a bad spot for Pittsburgh. They can't afford to assume
this will be a straightforward win. Either way, we're taking the points and
looking for another good showing from Georgia Tech at McCamish Pavilion.
Pick: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets +7.5
