NCAA Tournament Bracket 2012 

SBR Forum resident handicapper John Ryan, from John Ryan Sports, has shared his 2012 NCAA Tournament Bracket with the SBR community. When asked if he used his simulator for his bracket, his response was:  “I chose these based on where my 'gut' and experience tells me we could see some serious upsets, as it is very rare that we ever get a final four with just one and two seeds in it”.

The 2012 NCAA Basketball Tournament - Mens Division - is slated to tip off on March 13, 2012 at the University of Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio and conclude on April 2, 2012 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

68 Schools will enter the single-elimination style tournament with 31 of the teams receiving an automatic bid for winning their confrerence tournament. The remaining 37 bids will be granted by the NCAA Selection Committee on Selection Sunday.

 

The four lowest-seeded automatic qualifiers and the four lowest seeded at large teams will start the tournament as the First Four. The two winning teams will proceed to the main draw of the tournament.

 

The second and third rounds will run from March 15th, 2012 to March 18th, 2012. Winners from both rounds will move on the the Regional stages from March 22, 2012 to March 25, 2012. Eight teams will walk away winners and go head to head for a chance at becoming one of the Final Four.
