As we head towards the holidays in college basketball betting action, we take a moment to look back on the first third of the season and see which teams have been giving us the best holiday presents of all this year.

Oakland Golden Grizzlies (9-2 ATS, 6-5 SU)

Golden BearsRemember the Golden Grizzlies from the NCAA Tournament last year? The hope is that they can get back to the dance this year in the Summit League. These guys have covered four in a row and have done some impressive damage against some big time teams so far this season.

Not only did Oakland nearly knock off the Michigan State Spartans on a "neutral site" at the Palace of Auburn Hills, but three nights later, it traveled down to Rocky Top and upset the Tennessee Volunteers.

Check out the list of teams that the Golden Grizzlies have beaten the college basketball odds against... Tennessee, Michigan State, Illinois, Purdue, and Ohio, all teams of which were in the NCAA Tournament last year.

UAB Blazers (8-1 ATS, 7-2 SU)

If Conference USA has a legitimate challenger this year for the Memphis Tigers, this might be the team. UAB's schedule hasn't been nearly as impressive as that of the Golden Grizzlies, but going 8-1 and knocking off the Arkansas Razorbacks on a neutral court and nearly upsetting the Arizona State Sun Devils in the desert are certainly worthwhile.

Cameron Moore is a name that you should watch this year in C-USA. He is already averaging 19.7 PPG and 9.4 RPG, and he is the biggest reason that this team is beating the NCAA basketball lines on a regular basis.

San Diego State Aztecs (8-2 ATS, 11-0 SU)

It's not all that often that a team comes into a season full of hype and ends up beating the snot out of those expectations. Give San Diego State all the credit in the world, as everyone and their brother thought that this was a great sleeper team in the MWC after winning the conference crown last year.

What we don't quite know yet about SDSU is whether it is going to be able to beat the big boys from the big conferences. Sure, road wins at Gonzaga and Cal are nice, but that's nothing like playing some of the best teams from the Big East or the Big Ten. However, for as long as the Aztecs are outscoring teams by 15 PPG and covering numbers left and right, we could care less who they run up against.

Arizona Wildcats (7-2 ATS, 8-2 SU)

The Cats would have been the No. 1 team in this poll this week if not for the fact that they failed to cover two in a row against Cal State Fullerton and BYU. Losing by 18 to the Cougars was certainly eye opening and will prove to be a distraction to a team that badly needs to get on a roll in these final few out of conference games before the Pac-10 slate kicks off.

Still, after last season's dreadful year, the Wildcats know that they can take advantage of some very soft NCAA basketball odds. Don't be shocked if the covers continue all year long with the U of A.

Drexel Dragons (6-1 ATS, 7-1 SU)

Give it up for Drexel, which went on the road and pulled off the big time upset of the Louisville Cardinals on Tuesday night to make a tremendous statement to the rest of the CAA. The Colonial is always one of these leagues that has the potential to produce more than one bid to the NCAA Tournament, and wins like that and the one over Rider in OT show that this team is ready to roll.

The Dragons are breathing fire on your books right now, and they are on a train that you certainly do not want to miss out on.
