Defense, or lack of, will send today's Cardinals-Packers game over the total.

The Cardinals have a third different offensive coordinator (Mike Kruczek) in head coach Dennis Green's 2½.

Matt Leinart will make his fourth career start and, after two very good outings vs KC and Chicago, he was terrible in the Cards' 22-9 loss last week in Oakland. The Cards finished last in the NFL in rushing last year (71.1 YPG / 3.2 YPC) and even with the edition of Edgerrin James, they remain last in 2006 and their numbers have actually become even worse (66.9 YPG / 2.5 YPC).

Leinart will still be without Larry Fitzgerald but Bryant Johnson has filled in admirably and of course there is still Anquan Boldin. The Green Bay pass D ranks dead last in the NFL this year allowing 293.3 YPG, so I expect the Cards to move the ball.

As for Green Bay, Ahman Green looked like his "old self" last week (118 yds rushing vs Miami) and there is little reason to think Bret Favre will have too much trouble with the Arizona defense that allows 25 PPG on the road in 2006. In fact, the Arizona defense has been quite brutal away from home for quite some time now, allowing an average of 28.9 PPG over its last 16 games, with 12 of the 16 games going over the total.
