The 49ers always give 100 percent under Singletary, but they figure to have a letdown here after an emotional win over the Arizona Cardinals and a short week. Give the points.
The San Francisco 49ers are coming off an emotional Monday night upset win over division rival Arizona.
That win sets up the Niners in a number of letdown situations this week, including a 73-149-6 ATS road underdog letdown situation. My math model favors the Philadelphia Eagles by 12 points, and the situation is favorable, but I'll resist making the Eagles a Best Bet out of respect for Mike Singletary's habit of keeping his team close even in games the Niners lose.
San Francisco is 9-1 ATS as an underdog of more than three points under Singletary, including eight consecutive spread wins in that price range, and the Niners have lost only two of Singletary's 21 games by more than seven points (1 of 13 this season).
I'll still lean with Philadelphia and I'd consider the Eagles a Strong Opinion at -7 points or less.
