GB Packers, NY Giants Under 38½

The Giants will be hard-pressed to match their 35-point output of last week, with Manning questionable and Jacobs out. Favre did not impress last week, so go Under.
Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers roll into the Big Apple with Favre looking to become the winningest quarterback in NFL history. However, last week Favre wasn't all that impressive completing 23-42 for 206 yards and a pick in the Packers 16-13 win over the Eagles.
The Giants come into this one with a slew of injuries after getting pounded by the Dallas Cowboys. Questionable today are quarterback Eli Manning and defensive end Osi Umenyiora, while running back Brandon Jacobs will be out. Jacobs will be replaced by Derrick Ward, who rushed for 89 yards on 13 carries and caught four passes for 27 yards last week.
Green Bay is 7-0 for the Under in road games after one or more consecutive wins over the last 2 seasons. Also, Green Bay is 20-8 for the Under off of an upset win since 1992. The New York Giants are 11-2 for the Under after scoring 35 points or more since 1992.
The Giants’ offense will be hampered today, as they start either an injured-arm Eli Manning, or Jared Lorenzen. Lorenzen has never started an NFL regular-season game. Favre doesn't appear to be able to move the Green Bay offense with any force or consistency.
You have two teams who will be playing things close to the vest and running as much time off the clock as they can. I'm taking the under in this one.
