NFL Picks: Week 10 Fades & Games to Avoid

Tennessee Titans vs. Miami Dolphins

We know the Titans have been beyond bad this season (3-6 SU, 3-6 ATS), but do you really believe the Dolphins should be a touchdown favorite over anyone?

Matt HasselbeckMiami's done better than most predicted and have won three of their last four. However, the Dolphins still have problems.

For one, the Dolphins are ranked #23 in both total offense and defense. Yes, those numbers are based strictly on yards, but it's still not a good sign regardless. Miami may have one of the NFL's best run defenses, yet they've been god awful against the pass.

Matt Hasselbeck has been far from good, but he can still sling the ball around a little. He should be able to move the Titans up and down the field against the Dolphins, considering they're allowing 298.2 YPG through the air.

This Tennessee offense, while underperforming, still has plenty of weapons, including Chris Johnson, Kenny Britt, Nate Washington and Kendall Wright.

And, don't forget about what transpired last week. The Titans were embarrassed at LP Field by the Chicago Bears, and one would expect they'll show some pride and really come out and give the Dolphins a run for their money.

With the owner calling out the entire organization after that loss to the Bears, look for Tennessee to come out with something to prove. We know they can win games, but when it gets bad it gets really bad. Still, we're siding with the Titans to make a game of it in Week 10.

Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints

Are Drew Brees and the Saints about to hand the Falcons their first loss of the season?

Falcons vs. Saints

We suspect they just might. It's hard to find anything negative to say about Atlanta. That spotless 8-0 record speaks for itself, but the Falcons aren't invincible whatsoever. They have some weaknesses.

Their biggest weakness, in fact, has been the New Orleans Saints. The Saints have won three straight in the head-to-head series, both straight up and against the spread. Last season they smashed the Falcons 45-16 at the Superdome, with Brees throwing four touchdown passes in the rout.

The Falcons are much-improved defensively this season, yet they still give up their fair share of points and yardage. They're #18 in total defense, though most of their issues have come against the run (127.5 YPG) more than anything else.

Still, Brees has a tendency to dominate regardless of the defense he's facing. He may take this matchup a little personally too, considering Matt Ryan is getting all the MVP love, rightly so we may add.

The Superdome is the house Brees built though and he's going to do his darnedest to protect it. He's thrown 170 TD passes in 81 games there. Throw in the fact he owns a career 99.2 rating against Atlanta (with 27 TD versus 12 INT) in 13 career matchups and you'll see why I'm taking the Saints to bring it on Sunday.

You've got to give credit to Ryan and the Falcons for what they've been able to do, but backing New Orleans as home dogs is too attractive to pass over.

NFL Pick: New Orleans Saints +2.5
