The Miami Dolphins and a couple more key injuries are
included in this update. Read here to
see some odds-changing injuries pending further updates for the week.
A number of betting odds for Week 11 games could be
drastically altered with some injuries.
Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins are getting hammered with
injuries.
At the quarterback position Chad Pennington was
placed on the injured reserve (shoulder) while Chad Henne (knee) may be
out. If Henne is unable to go,
third-string Tyler Thigpen will start, as the Dolphins signed Patrick
Ramsey to be the potential backup.
If that isn’t enough, Pro Bowl left tackle Jake
Long dislocated his shoulder – and suffered damage to his labrum on
Sunday. He is questionable as he could
be fitted with a shoulder harness.
There’s more – 13 players in Monday’s report – be sure to
keep up-to-date and react accordingly.
Off of their win the Dolphins
will host the Chicago Bears on Thursday night. The Dolphins
are early one to one-and-a-half-point favorites with a 39 ½-point total.
Matthew Stafford Out
Indefinitely
While he didn’t play last week, don’t count on seeing Lions quarterback Matthew
Stafford anytime soon.
As he continues to rehab his separated shoulder surgery is
not out of the question. It could be an
option should nothing else be reasonable.
One scenario would be for Stafford to take a cortisone
injection in the next two weeks, which could possibly allow him to return
before the season ends. At the moment
much is up in the air for the Detroit
quarterback who has played well – when he has played.
The Lions
will head to Detroit in quite the odd matchup. Off of a surprising victory the Cowboys are favored by
six-and-a-half to seven points with a 46 ½-point total.
Giants Steve Smith
Out For Rest of the Month
The New York Giants will be without
wide receiver Steve Smith until at least the first game of December.
Losing his replacement, Ramses Barden, for the season,
Smith’s injury will cause the Giants
to be shorthanded for “a few more” games, according to reports. With three healthy receivers, the Giants have
taken a hard hit at the position with regard to injuries.
The Giants
get the pleasure of traveling to play the Philadelphia Eagles, fresh off of
a 59-point
performance. Odds makers should
release opening betting lines shortly for this matchup.
