There were some big winners and losers for the books in Week 10 in college football, Week 9 in NFL. Check out the Monday Night Roundup!
In College Football
Betting, the under hitting in Georgia Tech/Virginia Tech was one of the biggest
winners of the week for the books, getting back the losses they suffered on
Thursday with Ohio U and the over. According to Doc from Legends, there
was some sharp action on the under in that game, but the public overwhelmingly
loved the over.
The sharps had a pretty
good day overall in college football on Saturday though, winning with a bunch
of notable sides including Tulsa, Oklahoma State, Temple and Air Force, but did
suffer a few losses on Oklahoma and Iowa.
The books did well with
a few games that saved them from a losing day, including LSU winning outright
as a home dog over Alabama, as well as the covers by Texas A&M and Kansas.
According to Doc, the public got burned badly with Texas.
The NFL was rough for
the books. They did win overall for the week, but had a losing Sunday,
according to Doc. Detroit’s cover against the Jets and Cleveland’s outright win
over New England as a home dog were the only good games for the books.
San Diego, New Orleans,
and the Giants were all big public sides that covered, resulting in big losses
for the books. And worst of all was the crucial Sunday Night game, where Green
Bay as a touchdown favorite and the over covering were both big public-backed
sides, causing most sportsbooks to go negative for the day.
