The Sharks are coming off of an embarrassing 4 to 1 home loss to the Wild on Saturday. They should bounce back in a big way here on Monday night in Columbus.

The Sharks have been too reliant on their efficient power play to generate offense. They learned their lesson with regards to that on Saturday night versus Minnesota. Now they have been hammered on by Coach Ron Wilson since the loss and they will get right back on track against the Blue Jackets.

Columbus is having struggles of their own as they battle inconsistency so far this season. The Jackets are one of the worst penalty killing teams in the league and that spells trouble against the dangerous Sharks' power play unit. Columbus even allowed two short handed goals in their loss at Pittsburgh on Saturday. Sergei Federov is still battling injury for the Blue Jackets and may not be ready to come back yet tonight. The Columbus goaltending has been weak with both Pascal Leclaire and Fredrik Norrena struggling.
