It’s World Cup qualifier time and although there is no sure thing at this level and stage, your Humble Handicapper is here to view the choice soccer picks for the coming week.

Let's take a look at the best soccer odds for when Sweden tackle Germany in a Group C Table top six pointer.

It actually would need to be a literal six-pointer to make much difference, as Sweden are five points behind Germany. Everyone knows that Brazil are the current favourites with the sportsbooks at 100/32 to win the World Cup next year but it's a two horse race for second place with both Argentina and Germany at 5/1.

Long before we get to Brazil, we have to make it past the qualifying stages which just means there's more money to be won; because if your Humble Handicapper continues in the manner that he's been picking winners and making the most of the best sports betting odds in the Premier League, there’ll be plenty of money to finance his trip to Brazil.

Enough about your Brazilian dreams… WHERE’S THE MONEY MIKE?

Image previewBefore Friday, Group C was very much a one-horse race with Germany -at 1/100 odds- the nearest thing to a sure thing you'll find outside of betting on the sun coming up tomorrow morning. The only other side that the bookies seemed to think had any chance whatsoever was Sweden at 25/1. That was before Friday when Sweden dropped to points against Northern Ireland and Germany took maximum off the Republic of Ireland, making it all a done deal.

Germany have been in pretty good form right across their World Cup qualifying matches, with the only exception being their freak 4-4 draw against Sweden last year. The soccer odds on this game ending drawn are 5/2 and a repeat of that 4-4 score is at 200/1.

The bookies have a Sweden victory at 10/3, while a German victory is at 4/5. If you're inclined to follow history you'll probably like to know that both of Germany's last victories scored three and conceded zero (!) goals, while Sweden's last two wins were by a single goal each. A repeat of Germany winning 3-0 is available at 17/1 and the best odds on Sweden winning by one goal are on 2/1 at 15/1.

Hot and Cold

You might not think that this game will see a clear winner as the previous two meetings between these two sides have ended honours even. There is the aforementioned 4-4 and the time before that was 0–0 . A repeat of that score is offered up by the sportsbooks this time at 14/1 but considering that the odds in the game ending with less than 2.5 goals being scored is 5/3, means it’s unlikely.

For the record, the best soccer odds on the game going over 2.5 goals are available at 5/8 with the sportsbooks.

Sweden do have home advantage which does have no little impact on these soccer odds but considering that Germany won two games before the aforementioned two draws 3-0 and 2-0 really points to an away victory. Germany winning 3-0 has already mentioned and the best odds on Germany winning 2-0 is at 10/1.

Job Done, Feet Up…

If you think this game will be a bridge too far for Germany you should know that they have scored 16 goals in their last five games and conceded just eight Sweden have scored 10 in their last five.

Those sorts of numbers suggest a 3-2 victory to Germany, but I don't think there will be that many goals. 3-2 is available at 22/1, but I wouldn't be putting any of my money on that.

Sweden are the only side with something to play for so they’re going to make it hard for Germany. Your Humble Handicapper is going out on a bit of a limb with this soccer pick.

Soccer Pick: The Sweden/Germany game ends drawn 1-1, at 6/1 odds available at Bet365.
