The Fourth Round of the women's US Open tennis will provide plenty of betting action to accompany the play and there is the prospect of Sharapova vs Wozniaki
The 4th round of the women's portion of the US Open should
provide great thrills and good tennis betting opportunities for players.
Franscesca Schiavone will batttle Russia's Anastasia Pavlychenkoa,
Schiavone is the higher seed and will be favored to win. Pavlychenkova breezed
through her third round match 6-1, 6-2, so she could be riding high with
confidence.
Shahar Peer of Israel
continues her run by facing one of tennis' true superstars in Venus Williams.
The 3rd seeded Williams defeated Mand Minella in straight sets and made it look
easy. Expect Venus to be a heavy favorite to not only win this match but in all
likelihood make the finals, Williams has 10-1 tennis odds to win the Open
title.
Samantha Stosur will face Elena Dementieva which looks to be the
premier match of the 4th round. Stosur, a 5 seed, is on the rise in women's
tennis while Dementieva, the veteran 12 seed, has enjoyed a good run thus far.
Dementieva will be hard pressed to defeat Stosur, but the match
should be hotly contested nonetheless.
Stosur is a 30-1 favorite to win the championship with the tennis bookmakers.
Ana Ivanovic will face Kim Clijsters, in what looks to be a easy
match for Clisjters.
Clijsters has 3-1 odds to win the Open and is expected to at
least reach the finals and there is little reason to think Ivanocic will be the
one to stop her

On the other side of the bracket, 4th round matches include top
seeded Caroline Wozniacki facing Maria Sharapova. Sharapova is a 7-2 favorite
to win the US Open although she is a 14 seed.
Wozniacki and Sharapova hooking up in the 4th round will be an
entertaining matchup. Svetlana Kuznetsova bested Maria Kirlenko setting up a
fourth round match with Dominkia Cibulkova. Kuznetsova is an 11 seed and should
defeat Cibulkova.
Kaia Kanepi upset fourth seeded Jelena Jankovic, and now the 31st
seeded Kanepi will play Yanina Wickmayer who won her third round match in epic
fashion, needing two tiebreakers to beat Patty Schnyder.
Seventh seeded Vera Zvonareva who won in a walkover against Shuia
Peng will face Andrea Petkovic in the fourth round. Zvonareva should have an
advantage, rest-wise, in this match.

the US Open? Do you think Sharapova should be such a heavy favorite as a 14
seed? Speak your mind over at the SBR Tennis Handicapping forum.
